ACARE’s Executive Director, Ted Lawrence, receives the International Association for Great Lakes Research (IAGLR) Large Lake Champion Award for 2025. This Award recognizes and honours individuals whose work has made significant contributions to sharing the social, economic, and ecological understanding of large lakes of the world. Ted was nominated for this Award by members of IAGLR in recognition of his transformative contributions to the science, governance, and international collaboration surrounding large lakes, particularly the African Great Lakes.
