Today as March turns into April, the reality and hope of a miracle storm is gone. I got to thank the other board members, our groomer operators, our record number of people that joined our club and those that gave us a donation this year. We are already working on next season. Special shoot out to the neighboring clubs, very excited to be teamed up with you guys and to be working together to bring the best possible riding to Grafton County! Trail update for Friday and Sat: Our Westside remains opened. Parking at Sculptured Rocks only. Leaving across the road and first left on Jewell is the best, returning back over Spruce. Groomers will not be out tonight or tomorrow.Our 151 powerline trail is preventing us access. The Groton power lines are in terrible condition. Mostly dirt. Conditions on the rest of the system will be a bit icy in the morning and probably a ton of fun by noon. Most waterbar crossings will hold up, but ride with caution. There will be patches of dirt, random rocks, and debris from brush cutting Tuesday night. Our entire system will be closed as of Midnight Saturday until it snows again. We managed to get opened Dec 8th and made it to mid March. Thank you to the people that make donation to the club and the volunteers that put the donations to work. Our 1/2 culvert pipes and hay worked amazing as did all the bridge and trail improvements. A special thanks to my dedicated team of fearless operators, the new groomer collaboration with Baker River and an awesome board of directors that gets it done in Grafton County. Think snow! (fb)
