Our Team Committed to Excellence in Medical Student and Resident Education. The Des Moines Medical Education Consortium is a nonprofit corporation established in 1994 which is operated solely and exclusively as a medical education organization. In 2008 the Consortium was officially recognized as the regional medical campus of the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. The Consortium has an exclusive academic affiliation with the University of Iowa and is composed of the following member institutions Although not a member institution the VA Central Iowa Health System provides a quality educational experience for both medical students and residents while on specific rotations.
