In 2024, the World Federation for Animals and our 71 member organisations made real strides for animals around the world. Together, we helped shape UN decisions on health, climate and biodiversity, launched the Animals for Climate Action tool, and came together at our first-ever General Assembly to renew our shared commitment to animals everywhere. A historic moment for animals and global health! The agreed World Health Organization (WHO) Pandemic Agreement includes animals in plans to stop future pandemics. It says countries must: 👉 Prevent diseases where they start—at the human-animal-environment link 👉 Use the One Health approach: people, animals, and the planet are connected This is a big win for people and animals everywhere.
