The Green Mountain Youth Symphony was founded in 2001 as the Central Vermont Youth Orchestra with a mission of providing young musicians of Central Vermont with the opportunity to play and perform orchestral music in their own community with their peers. Prior to its creation, many student musicians were unable to participate in a youth orchestra, and many others traveled from remote areas of the state in order to find a comparable program.

All skill levels welcome Our Repertory orchestra hosts students with as little as 612 months of musical experience our Concert and Senior orchestras give intermediate and advanced students a chance to push their musicality to new heights.
