Shoals Scholar Dollars Foundation Shoals Scholar Dollars Foundation Inc 2025 Student of the Year Nominees Smoke on the Water BBQ Festival 2024 Shoals Student of the Year Claire Retherford In 2011 the Shoals community headed by the Florence and Greater Shoals Rotary Clubs decided that education was the most important gift we could give our children. Because education is the underpinning for success in every endeavor the Shoals community banded together to give every student from the 17 local high schools in Colbert and Lauderdale Counties the opportunity to continue their education after graduation. The rules are simple. If you are a student who has maintained a C average in high school has a good attendance record has no behavioral incidents and is a U.

Thank you to all the member of the Florence Kiwanis Club for their continued support of Shoals Scholar Dollars. The Florence Club recently donated $1,000 that will go towards helping local students in the Shoals Area. This club is committed to helping local organizations.

Thank you to Chick-fil-A Florence and owner Brynn Albretsen for your generous donation to Shoals Scholar Dollars as part of their Cookies for College campaign in May. The entire staff at Chick-fil-A Florence helped with this year's promotion. Brynn has a servant's heart and a long relationship with Shoals Scholar Dollars.
