#GiveBIG 2025 has come to an end, and we want to say a huge THANK YOU to our community members, because we raised $3,781 in support of our mission: to inspire and support students to be their best selves through mentoring, learning experiences, and a powerful community! Though we finished short of our overall goal of $6,000, every dollar raised strengthens our programming and helps us continue to do deliver community-based mentoring services to youth. We loved seeing our Community members share our posts with their networks and cheer us on as we reached for our goal! We truly felt your support, and we are fortunate to have you. Why is community important? Current CfY mentor Antonio shared something that a lot of us have felt: "Oftentimes if you're not a part of a community, it seems like the world's falling on you, and it seems like you're the only one in it." Strong communities remind us that we are NOT alone in our struggles (or our triumphs!). When we connect authentically with others, we share our challenges, fears, our calls for support, and ultimately, our joy and our accomplishments - because when we're together, we lift each other up! That's why youth mentorship at CfY is community-based. Our mentors and students lean on one another for support, and the things that they accomplish together are amazing!
