بیانیهٔ جامعهٔ هزاره‌های کالیفورنیا به مناسبت درگذشت فرهیخته‌ی گرامی دکتر محمد یونس طغیان ساکایی بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم وَ مَنْ یَخْرُجْ مِنْ بَیْتِهِ مُهاجِراً إِلَی اللَّهِ وَ رَسُولِهِ ثُمَّ یُدْرِکْهُ الْمَوْتُ فَقَدْ وَقَعَ أَجْرُهُ عَلَی اللَّهِ وَ کانَ اللَّهُ غَفُوراً رَحیماً (سوره نساء آیه ۱۰۰) هر کسی که از خانه خود بیرون آید تا به سوی خدا و رسولش مهاجرت کند و آنگاه مرگ او را دریابد، مزدش بر عهده خداست و خدا آمرزنده و مهربان است. با نهایت اندوه و تاثر، جامعهٔ هزاره‌های کالیفورنیا درگذشت دکتر محمد یونس طغیان ساکایی، استاد فرزانه، پژوهشگر برجسته، شاعر، شاهنامه‌پژوه نامدار و از بنیان‌گذاران شورای سراسری هزاره‌های اهل سنت افغانستان را به خانوادهٔ محترم ایشان، شاگردان و جامعهٔ فرهنگی افغانستان تسلیت عرض می‌نماید. دکتر ساکایی عمر گران بهای خویش را صرف پژوهش، آموزش، ترویج فرهنگ، حفظ هویت ملی و ارتقای آگاهی اجتماعی کرد.

انا لله و انا الیه الراجعون با اندوه فراوان و دلی آکنده از غم، درگذشت دوکتور پوهاند محمد یونس طغیان ساکایی، استاد برجسته دانشگاه کابل، پژوهشگر فرهیخته و خدمت‌گزار راستین فرهنگ و ادبیات فارسی را به خانواده محترم ایشان، دوستان، شاگردان و تمامی اهل فرهنگ و دانش تسلیت عرض می‌داریم. استاد طغیان از چهره‌های درخشان عرصه آموزش و پژوهش بود که عمر گران‌بهای خود را وقف پرورش نسل دانا و پاسداری از میراث‌های ادبی و فرهنگی این سرزمین کرد. درگذشت او ضایعه‌ای بزرگ برای جامعه علمی و فرهنگی افغانستان است.
