🌟 MAHALO to everyone who came out for the opening of Heart of the Hui: Student & Faculty Showcase last Friday! We were thrilled to welcome such an incredible crowd to celebrate the many voices that make up our creative ‘ohana. From intricate ceramics to expressive paintings, delicate prints to bold mixed media, this exhibition is a joyful reflection of the learning, teaching, and making that happens every day at the Hui. 🎨 It was heartwarming to see students, instructors, families, and friends gather together—many for the first time since the beginning of their artistic journeys here. There were so many beautiful moments of connection, discovery, and pride in seeing creative growth come full circle. 💛 If you weren’t able to make it to the opening, don’t worry! Calling all Ceramic Lovers! Don’t miss your chance to study with one of Hui’s most popular instructors—Jennifer Owen! Her Intermediate Ceramics – Level 2 class starts this Friday, June 6, and we need just a few more students to make it happen. This 8-week course is perfect for those who’ve taken Beginning Ceramics and are ready to refine their skills on the wheel or hand-building. Each class begins with a hands-on demo tailored to what you want to learn, followed by personalized guidance during studio time. Class runs Fridays from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, and is open to adults 18+.
