Another component of the professional development support our medical interpreter training program provides is the opportunity to get a headshot. Headshots are a piece of the professional portfolio students compile throughout our program, they are important for an online presence, and students use them to create polished LinkedIn profiles. Local artist Feda Eid has been working with us for years, offering her expert photography skills to capture headshots for our students. As they progress through our medical interpreter certificate program, students receive training and support focused on professional development. Last month, our students participated in mock interviews. With the help of our amazing volunteers, each student participated in two rounds of interviews designed to replicate interviews they might go through with a hospital for an interpreting role.
