After our Bigg's 201 students gave their final presentations last weekend, we headed out on the water with Island Adventures Whale Watching for a grand finale boat trip! And while we won't be getting on the water for the fall version of our class, we're going to take the opportunity during the winter weather to offer a fully virtual version of our Bigg's 201 course running from the end of September 2025 to January 2026. You'll get to improve your scientific literacy through the lens of killer whale research, learning to read and discuss scientific papers, make graphs and maps from real-world sightings data, and take an orca data project from start to finish.
