AHTA supports the professional development education and expertise of horticultural therapy practitioners. Individuals and organizations located across the US and beyond are members. We are a 501c3 nonprofit membershipdriven organization with the mission to promote and advance the profession of horticultural therapy as a therapeutic and rehabilitative modality.

This year’s conference, Nurturing Community: Planting the Seeds of the Future, will be virtual October 9th-11th.

AHTA has is proud to be the only US national organization advocating for the development of Horticultural Therapy as a profession. Registered Horticultural Therapists (HTR) have gone through both educational and experiential training to be designated as an HTR. Becoming a Horticultural Therapist is a commitment, but it’s well worth it.
