Our festival has always had a deep Veteran presence. We reflect on the meaning of Memorial Day this weekend and all that have sacrificed their lives for our country. (fb)
What a day we had!!! Such a grateful day! Lunch and an awesome update about our county and tourism (and our favorite friends), cuz hey, we are a destination event! Board of Directors meeting that was super engaging, and tons more to do! Ending with a food subcommittee meeting where we can't show you yet! Can't wait for the event!! (fb)

THE COUNTDOWN. The annual Augustoberfest weekend is run by the nonprofit organization The Augustoberfest Charitable Foundation. The festival pays tribute to the areas rich German heritage while raising scholarship money for students in the Hagerstown Wesel Sister City foreign exchange program along with raising foundational endowments for additional nonprofits within Washington County. The Foundations board is comprised of active business leaders from the local community all on a volunteer basis.
