A reminder that on Saturday, May 31, 2025, the Western Pacific Railroad Museum will be hosting the Kaiser-Frazer Owners Club, a group devoted to preserving K-F produced vehicles. https://kfclubmembers.com/ A group of K-F vehicles will be on display at the Western Pacific Railroad Museum from 10 AM to 12 noon on Saturday, May 31. Caboose trains will be operating from 11 AM to 2 PM and the museum is open 10 AM to 5 PM. Come join us! The Kaiser-Frazer Corporation was an American automobile manufacturer founded jointly by industrialist Henry J. Kaiser and automobile executive Joseph W. Frazer in 1945. In 1947, the company acquired the automotive assets of Graham-Paige. Kaiser-Frazer was one of a few US automakers to achieve success after World War II. Kaiser-Frazer was known for several innovative concepts, including early front-wheel drive concepts and the Kaiser-Darrin sports car with a fiberglass body. They also explored advanced technologies like unit construction and innovative suspension designs. In 1953, Kaiser bought the ailing Willys-Overland company, mainly for its Jeep brand, and merged the Kaiser and Willys operations under the Kaiser-Willys Corporation, ending the Kaiser-Frazer name. The company built its last passenger vehicles in 1955 and built only utility / off-road vehicles, particularly the famous "Jeep". (fb)
