Home - Spring Valley Volunteer Fire Department ANNOUNCEMENTS SVVFD urges caution in this peak of fire danger due to extremely dry conditions. Latest Newsletter Spring Valley Volunteer Fire Department SVVFD provides fire safety and emergency medical services for residents recreational enthusiasts and property in the northeastern foothills above San Jose and Milpitas California. Our mission is to be first responders equipped and trained to rapidly respond to emergencies and to provide education and technical assistance to help residents reduce fire danger risks. SVVFD is staffed and operated by men and women volunteers dedicated to protecting 200 sq mile of hillside wildlands above Milpitas and northeast San Jose.
