NGLI Fellows Spotlight: Alexandra Njie 📣🌟 Last month, Alexandra brought #ReproductiveJustice to North Carolina A&T State University with an on-campus tabling event. She was able to help her peers understand exactly what RJ is and ask them what RJ programs they’d like to see at North Carolina A&T! Thanks, Alex, for bringing Repro Justice to your fellow Aggies 💛💙 (fb)

We’re devastated and outraged by the story of Adriana Smith. She is a nurse and mother who was declared brain dead after seeking medical care for her pregnancy. Due to Georgia’s restrictive abortion laws, she is now being kept on life support to sustain her pregnancy without any input from her family. Georgia’s oppressive abortion laws have stolen autonomy from Adriana’s family. Now, her family has been strapped with enormous medical bills, adding financial pressure to an already devastating tragedy. With looming Medicaid cuts, stories like Adriana’s, where people don’t get the care they deserve or face high healthcare costs, will become more common. (fb)
