Alternatives in Action High School Young people are powerful. We believe in the power and promise of young people in our community. In our schools and community programs we see young people striving for more voice more connection more ownership and more meaningful ways to make a difference for their own future and our communities. Because we believe in the power and promise of young people we inspire them support them and create opportunities for young people to make a real difference.

ALTERNATIVES IN ACTION
Coming this fall, AIA students will be permitted to play varsity sports. Through a collaboration with @oaklandunityhigh, our students will have access to sports ranging from soccer to cross country to basketball, playing on Unity's teams. These are CIF-sanctioned teams as Unity is part of the Oakland Section, which is home to nearly 30 schools, including McClymonds and Lighthouse.
