The Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Nations largest wildlife refuge in an urban setting. Today an abundance of waterfowl and shorebirds feed roost and nest in wetlands where just twenty years ago there were crystallizer ponds.
