Vets "Out of the Rough" Vets Out of the Rough Welcome to Vets Out of the Rough A NonProfit Organization Helping Long Island Veterans Through Golf Camaraderie Golf has proven to be a great resource for veterans experiencing servicerelated issues many of which are the invisible wounds of PTSD. Northport Golf Course is in its 24th year of serving our veterans through our Vets Out of the Rough programs. Our 30 week program introduces golf to veterans or enhances their skills with lessons by fellow veteran mentors. Over 150 participants share camaraderie and connection with each other while enjoying golf and the dinner that follows on the deck where stories are told and memories shared.
