The Jordan Hackett Foundation - Home Jordan39s Story Jordan Cage Hackett son of Stephen and Karen Hackett was born on June 7 2002. We knew before his birth that Jordan had Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Basically he had half of a heart. Although this defect can not be fixed there are a series of surgeries to be done over the first few years of life that can allow children to live with HLHS.
