Did you know, Delaware City & New Castle County fire companies work tightly with Delaware State Police Aviation Unit (Trooper 4) for medevac of patients involved in critical incidents? On Monday June 2nd @ ~ 16:08 Delaware City, Port Penn & Mutual Aid companies were dispatched to the NB Span of the Roth Bridge for reports of an MVC involving a roll over. Crews arrived on scene to find one patient self extricated prior to arrival and utilized Trooper 4 for transport. This morning @ ~ 12:23 Delaware City, Christiana & Port Penn Fire Companies were dispatched to Red Lion Road & S Dupont Hwy for reports of an MVC with entrapment. Engine 12 arrived on scene confirming entrapment, Engine 12 & Rescue Engine 15 worked simultaneously extricating 2 patients from 2 separate vehicles.
