Rose Andom Center Inc.

The Rose Andom Center Inc. is a nonprofit organization located in Denver, Colorado, serving as the Rocky Mountain region's first wrap-around services center for victims of domestic violence. The center provides comprehensive support services to survivors of intimate partner violence and their families.

History and Mission

The Rose Andom Center was established in 2016 as Colorado's first family justice center, following over ten years of collaboration between community-based organizations and city government agencies. The mission is to be a survivor-centered, trauma-informed collaborative that cultivates hope for individuals impacted by intimate partner abuse. The center's vision is to foster a community where survivors can thrive.

Naming and Philanthropy

The center is named in honor of Rose Andom, a renowned Denver entrepreneur and former McDonald’s franchise owner. Rose Andom contributed significantly to the center's establishment, notably with a lead gift of $1 million. Her commitment to community involvement and her personal history of witnessing domestic violence during her childhood motivated her support for the center.

Recognition

The Rose Andom Center has been recognized for its contributions to the community, including receiving an Eagle Award for Excellence as a Community and Public Service project. Rose Andom has also received several awards for her leadership and philanthropy, including being inducted into the Colorado Business Hall of Fame in 2024.
