The mission of Convention of States is "to build an engaged army of self-governing grassroots activists." Self-governance is the key to a functioning republic. All of those involved with COS are applying it and emphasizing it in our quest to establish the guardrails that have become required to ensure that the federal government is prohibited from encroaching upon our civil liberties and abusing its power.
