✨Public art powered by youth voices: more utility boxes painted by New Urban Arts students! 🎨 📍Elmwood Ave & Daboll St “Hair Salon” Box: This box is meant to highlight the several Dominican hair salons in the West End and Elmwood Areas in Providence, highlighting diverse hair textures and styles including braids and curly cuts while celebrating the role of hair salons not only for their services, but as forums for community. 📍Westminster St & Service Rd 1 “Bus Stop” Box: This box is about supporting public transit and RIPTA in Providence! RIPTA is an important resource for Rhode Islanders–it's a service that over 50,000 people use each day. Students at New Urban Arts wanted to showcase the many people who use RIPTA daily.
