Last week, Land Conservancy staff joined partners from the City of Cleveland and Northwest Neighborhoods to tour the abandoned rail spur with representatives from the Ward 15 Tree Canopy Committee. The Committee focuses on protecting and expanding the urban tree canopy and visited the site to better understand our plans for restoration and enhancement. This visit is part of our broader approach to community engagement—listening first, then acting. We’re grateful for the insights shared during the tour, which will help shape the direction of our work. Feedback gathered here adds to nearly 200 responses from our ongoing public survey and builds momentum toward an on-site engagement event planned for this summer. (fb)
