Kids ages 5 to 17 are invited to participate in South Plains College’s Explore the Arts Camp from July 7–10 on the Levelland campus. Hands-on activities will take place in different parts of the Creative Arts and Fine Arts Buildings. “This camp will introduce campers to different aspects of art,” Brent Wheeler, SPC commercial music program coordinator, said. “No experience is needed for any of the disciplines we will offer.” The four-day camp will feature rotating classes from 9 a.m. to noon each day. Kids ages 5 to 11 will participate in theatre, visual art, music and photography classes, and kids ages 12 to 17 have more options, such as graphic design and videography, to choose from as they create their camp schedule. To register, one must pay an $85 fee on the online SPC Marketplace. Registration will be accepted until the first day of the camp. For more information about the event, contact Wheeler at 806-716-2023 or bjwheeler@southplainscollege.edu. (fb)
