Today, we’d like to take some time to pause and reflect on our Why. It’s truly difficult to believe that 9 years ago today our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend - Officer Ronald Tarentino, Jr. was taken from us. Many of you that have been following along and supporting us from the beginning knew Ron personally, but for those that didn’t get the chance to meet him, we’ll tell you a bit about him. Ron was a gentle giant, he was the most genuinely kind and caring and generous person you could’ve ever met. If you needed him, he was there, he would give you the shirt off his back. He loved his community, he loved being involved and lending a helping hand. Ron had the most incredible sense of humor and loved to laugh, and he loved making others laugh too. Becoming a Police Officer was something Ron worked so hard for and the job suited him so well for all the reasons we just shared. He performed his duties with honor and pride. But if there’s anything he loved more than becoming a Police Officer, it was his family and friends. He was and always will be the amazing man that we all love and adore. He had the magical ability to light up a room, bring people together and find a friend in anyone. Through the Officer Ronald Tarentino, Jr. Charitable Fund we are fortunate to be able to continue to bring people together in his honor. We are able to continue to do so much good for the community in his honor. And we have you to thank. There are not enough words to express how much we appreciate everyone who has supported our family and this charity from the beginning and all who we have met along the way.
