The Florida Film Institute, Inc. (FFI) is a non-profit organization established in 1992, dedicated to providing educational opportunities in the field of media arts, particularly filmmaking, to students in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. CINEMA After School Program: This program serves middle and high school students, providing a creative outlet and educational resources to support their interests in film production. Participants learn about script writing, cinematography, directing, and editing, among other skills necessary for filmmaking.

Since its founding, the Florida Film Institute has mentored over 7,080 students, fostering both artistic and personal growth. The student films produced through the Institute have garnered numerous accolades, with a total of 197 awards from various film festivals. These films have been featured at 46 international, 73 national, and 41 regional festivals, including broadcasts on platforms such as HBO.
The organization focuses on equitable access to filmmaking education, offering scholarships for students in financial need and working in collaboration with local schools and community centers to broaden its reach.
