It’s hard to convince a grade-school child that reading is fun if that wasn’t modeled or practiced earlier in life! Here at READ, we always stress the importance of reading to children. Today, we've provided a few tips to get you started: 📚Make it part of your routine. Reading is a great way to wind down before bed. 📚Using voices, some silly, for different characters can make the stories more engaging for children. 📚Take a moment to ask children what they notice about a picture to help them make connections between the book and their own world. 📚Use READ as a resource! Attend Storytime (every Wednesday at 11:00) or register for the Summer session of Raising Readers Academy.
