Wal-Mart on Central Avenue - we think. The first Wal-Mart in Hot Springs was on Albert Pike and opened in 1972, according to a friend of this page. The Wal-Mart in this photo was identified in our records as the one on Central Ave - ca 1980 We would love your help, if you know.

The shopping center in the 600 block of Albert Pike has housed many area favorites from furniture, groceries and a pharmacy. Brandon's, Rephan's Fashion, Safeway, Sterlings, Oklahoma Tire and Supply plus Hopkins Drug Store. If you can remember the 1960's-70's.
