More than 600 older adults each year in the Dallas area volunteer through AmeriCorps Seniors programs at The Senior Source contributing hundreds of thousands of hours of service to our schools, seniors in their homes, food pantries, non-profit organizations and more. 💵This work is valued at more than $5,000,000 annually. Earlier this year, $400 million was cut from AmeriCorps programs across the nation, including several AmeriCorps Seniors programs. This longstanding and proven program is a lifeline to both the volunteers who gain a sense of purpose and connection through their work, and the neighbors who they selflessly serve.
