Friends Of Children In Africa The Namuwongo School And Scholarship Program The neighborhood of Namuwongo is one of the poorest in the city of Kampala Uganda. Many of the children living there are food insecure and many are without parents due to war AIDS and other consequences of extreme poverty. The Namuwongo School provides primary schooling for nearly 200 children giving them a safe and happy place to go for a nutritious meal and a chance at a basic education. The affiliated Scholarship Program provides further education for a small number of these students.
