Five churches choirs and organists from various denominations will be coming together for our area39s annual hymn festival. Hundreds of voices will unite in singing favorite hymns as Rochester native Jeff Harp narrates the history behind the texts and tunes. The festival choir will also perform pieces based on hymns notably Gerre Hancock39s Deep River and Edward Bairstow39s epic setting of the ancient plainsong Blessed City Heavenly Salem.
