Dave is the Owner and Agent of Wampler Schmith Witkowski, Inc., operating as Wampler Varner Insurance Group in Englewood. He founded the company in 1985 after moving to the area in 1984. Originally from Northwest Indiana, Dave holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in economics from Olivet Nazarene University. He and his college sweetheart, Tonya, are proud parents of three adult children and six grandchildren who live in the Englewood community. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Josh Cramer, a valued member of the Manatee Community Board and a passionate Big Brother. Today, the Bradenton City Council confirmed Mayor Gene Brown's nomination of Cramer as the new Chief of Police, succeeding Chief Melanie Bevan, who is retiring. Cramer brings 30 years of experience with the Bradenton Police Department, having joined in 1995 and retired as Assistant Chief in 2022, while continuing as a reserve officer. He will resign from his City Council position before being sworn in on July 8.
