Earlier this week, survivors of traumatic injuries and burns joined their caregivers, families and friends for a joyful and emotional gathering recognizing National Trauma Survivors Day. The event gave survivors a chance to reflect on their journeys to recovery and celebrate the caregivers that have helped them along the way. The evening featured survivors sharing their stories, recognition of outstanding caregivers and peer mentors, resource provider tables, group activities, music and more. The strength and resiliency of our trauma and burn survivors will be on full display during the 9th Annual MetroHealth Resiliency Run happening Saturday, June 7, at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.
