We need volunteers to help make the event a success. Sign up to volunteer by emailing Sandra at sitemanager@tapestryfolkdance.org Can you help with? -Set-Up Help us set-up folding tables and chairs, put out signs and balloons, and get everything ready for the day! -Family Activities Area There will be an Irish-dance themed kids obstacle course, crafts, and coloring available. Volunteers here simply monitor the area to give directions, help out if needed, and make sure things are kept organized between use. -Info Table The main welcome spot for the event. Volunteers here will sit at a table, greet people as they come, and have the schedule for the day plus Tapestry flyers available to share. 1st Aid kits, water, and ice will also be kept at this desk. -Wayfinding/Street Patrol/Greeter These volunteers will wear a yellow vest and keep an eye on the parking lot entrances to make sure cars do not enter. They will also help direct people to cross at the crosswalk rather than the middle of Minnehaha. A chair will be available. -Mainstage Assistant Will sit near our sound technician, to provide any assistance that might be needed for the programming happening on the stage. -Clean-Up Our goal is to have the parking lots cleared by 7pm to make way for parking for Contra to be available as usual! We’ll need help taking down tables, chairs, signs, etc and putting them away, as welling as help breaking down the outdoor dance floor. (fb)
