Statement from the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force: Earlier today, an electrical arc in the track lighting system of the Escape and Evasion exhibit at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force caused minor sparks, prompting a swift and orderly response from museum staff and emergency personnel. The Museum extends its sincere appreciation to the Pooler Fire-Rescue for their rapid response and professionalism. Following established safety protocols, staff quickly evacuated the facility to ensure the safety of all visitors and personnel.
