May 28, 2025 Nightly I-465 lane closures scheduled on west side of Indianapolis INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces nightly lane closures affecting a portion of I-465 on the west side of Indianapolis for placement of permanent pavement markings. The following closures are scheduled this week, weather permitting: • Wednesday, May 28 to Saturday, May 31 (8 p.m. to 6 a.m.) o I-465 NB reduced to one lane between I-70 (Exit 9) and I-74 (Exit 16) • Sunday, June 1 to Tuesday, June 3 (8 p.m. to 6 a.m.) o I-465 SB reduced to two lanes between I-70 (Exit 9) and I-74 (Exit 16) INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and use extra caution while traveling in and around work zones.
