SCAFEM Sonoma County Academic Foundation for Excellence in Medicine Fostering Excellence in the Practice Research and Teaching of Medicine Incorporated in 1987 the Sonoma County Academic Foundation for Excellence in Medicine SCAFEM is a nonprofit 501C 3 medical education foundation whose mission is the growth of quality medical care in Sonoma County. SCAFEMs board of directors represents a crosssection of medical professionals as well as community representatives. Funding for SCAFEM comes from donations and grant administration. and is currently focused on support of the Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency Program.
