AJ from Lubbock, TX, was diagnosed with hypodiploid acute lymphoblastic leukemia on December 11, 2019, when he was just in 7th grade. It’s a rare and challenging form of leukemia, but AJ faced it with courage beyond his years. After just one month of aggressive treatment, he reached remission, yet his journey continued for over 3.5 years to ensure the cancer stayed away. Despite the challenges, AJ never lost his sense of humor, or his hair! His doctors even joked he earned the “most hair left” award during treatment. Supported by his loving family, especially his big sister Ava, AJ’s strength and spirit inspire everyone around him.
