The Teche Ecology, Culture & History Education Project is passionate about making Bayou Teche a healthier waterway through action and education. The mission of the TECHE Project is to provide educational and public engagement opportunities to rural communities in ecology, culture, and history preservation of Bayou Teche and adjacent communities.

Since then we have been building a worldclass paddle trail to welcome paddlers from all over the world. Bayou Teche National Paddle Trail runs 135 miles from Port Barre to Berwick through St. Landry St.
