“Amazing conversations 💛❤️💛Every story I’ve listened to on the VBP Podcast resonates, taking me to my own memories and my family’s journey. Saoli’s description of fighting with her Dad over learning to speak Vietnamese - I felt all of it” — ChefTinaLuu (@cheftinaluu) These are the kinds of moments Season 7 of the Vietnamese Boat People podcast leans into: the everyday tensions that shape us, the silences that speak volumes, and the deep ties to language and identity that echo across generations. To everyone who’s been tuning in — thank you for listening with your hearts wide open. 💛 If you haven’t yet, Episode 55: Do You Speak Vietnamese? is a powerful place to start. 🎧 Stream it now and hear why these stories are sparking memories, reflection, and connection across the diaspora → bit.ly/vbpep55 #ListenerFeedback #VBPPodcast (fb)

As we close out AAPI Heritage Month, we’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on Hali Lee, founder of the Asian Women Giving Circle, who was just named to the inaugural TIME100 Philanthropy List! 🌟 As a visionary in collective giving, Hali (@halinyc) has spent nearly two decades uplifting Asian American women and gender-expansive creators through the power of community, storytelling, and shared purpose. Her belief? “The future of philanthropy, and our democracy, is collective.” 💛 Vietnamese Boat People is proud to be a grantee of AWGC and grateful to be part of this legacy of change. Their support helps power our upcoming Our Journeys exhibition this September — a tribute to resilience, memory, and intergenerational healing in the Vietnamese diaspora. Here’s to building strong communities, telling our stories, and doing good together. 🙌 Read more about Hali and the full list in the June 9, 2025 issue of TIME — out May 30!
