When the Yosemite Chamber tore up the crumbly concrete pad at the old Baird Hotel site (in between the Community Hall and the old white house), in preparation for the bench, garbage/recycling receptacles and the planter, we did what we could to save what was stamped in the concrete...preserving history. Now the Grade to Gate Foundation, in partnership with Romulus Development, has turned the partially crumbled remains into an industrial piece of art to be displayed on the same site. Watch this space as we proceed to share the process and the steps and then, be sure to attend the reveal as we return a piece of Groveland history back to its original place.
