🥳 We periodically receive updates from past students and are so delighted to hear of the positive changes they make in their lives after Passage! ✍️ Here is an update from R, a student at Riverside for 11 months a few years ago. "R was known as a kid who could make anything into an adventure! He was an old soul and was interested in learning and trying many things. R butted heads with staff often about keeping up hygiene, when or when not to play with legos, and other very, VERY random things. R struggled with psychosis episodes while on campus, which his direct care staff did wonderfully with as we received recommendations for grounding him during these times from his neuropsych evaluation done through the university. R successfully discharged to a group home while attending a day treatment program with an emphasis in treating psychosis, along with a therapeutic education center, therapy, continued psychiatry, and the involvement of his wonderful parents. R has kept his passageway elements continued! He's doing track for the local high school this spring and was in the finals for the 300m hurdles for his conference! He also just had the Special Olympics track regionals meet and took first in the 400m, 800m, and long jump! He's headed for the state competition at the university! He has an internship lined up for this summer with our towns Parks and Rec Dept! He still has a lot of struggles with distorted thinking patterns and peer relationships, but he's doing well, all things considered!" 🌟 Way to go, R!! Keep up the good work! (fb)

🥳 The first Fridays Farmers Market was a great success last week! 🌺 We had 15 vendors here and over 100 community members peruse the delightful array of offerings! 🍞 Join us again this Friday from 11am to 3pm! 🎨 The Gallery is still open regular hours 10am to 4pm. (fb)
