This sweet 3-year-old Redbone Coonhound arrived at the Goochland County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center heartworm positive, a serious and potentially fatal condition caused by parasitic worms living in the heart and lungs. Without treatment, heartworm disease can lead to severe lung disease, heart failure, and ultimately death. But thanks to the Dr. Lori L. Elliott Medical Fund, Lil Ann got the treatment she needed to beat heartworm disease and go on to find the loving forever home she deserved!
