BIKEWALK NORTH CAROLINA
Apex Friendship High School’s Driver Education program is the first in the state to use BWNC’s NC Bicycle Safety Quiz – Motorist lesson in the classroom. The interactive, online quiz teaches drivers how to drive safely in the presence of bicycles, including relevant laws, crash avoidance, and practical skills (check it out yourself. ).

Last week, our Program Manager Oliver Sendall presented BikeWalk NC’s Friendly Driver Program during a Lunch & Learn at McAdams in Raleigh. Special thanks to McAdams for welcoming us and making space for meaningful conversations about safer streets. Bringing this program to engineering firms is a key step in improving roadway design and driver awareness.
