On Friday, the Trump Administration quietly rolled back a critical gun safety rule, allowing devices that turn regular guns into machine guns back on the market. These are weapons of war. The same technology used in the Las Vegas massacre, the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history, could now flood our communities again. There was no public hearing. No accountability. Just closed-door meetings with the gun lobby and a decision that puts lives at risk. This is an insult to survivors, victims’ families, and the majority of Americans who support common-sense gun laws. Once again, profits won out over public safety. We will not accept a country where our right to live is sacrificed for the gun lobby’s power. We demand better. We demand action. (fb)
