With volunteer help, YDWP planted 90 fruiting trees and shrubs this spring in a rarely visited area of the Community Forest, funded in part by a MI DNR Wildlife Habitat grant. This crabapple, planted May 8th, is blooming! (fb)
Spring is here, and it's time for planting trees! YDWP was recently awarded a MI DNR Wildlife Habitat grant. Our project area is in a little-visited section of the Community Forest where we will be planting fruiting trees and shrubs on May 14th at 9:30. We need volunteers! Lunch will be provided, but bring your own water. Access to the planting location is via the Remington Rd (County Road KCH) off of County Rd 550.
