ABOUT HHM The Hancock Historical Museum is a privatelyfunded nonprofit history museum founded in 1970 by five Findlay Ohio residents who wanted to ensure the rich heritage of Hancock County wouldnt be forgotten with the passage of time. Their vision is alive today in vibrant educational programs dynamic exhibits and successful preservation efforts that honor Hancock Countys past while inspiring its future.

#OnThisDay in 1889, the Gibson House opened the finest furnished hotel in the city of Findlay. Located on the east side of North Main Street at 335-337, just south of the Lake Erie and Western Railroad. The building was a three-story brick structure with an iron balcony from the second floor affording an excellent view of the broad and busy street.
