Six SAAS seniors were honored at the 2025 Metro League Scholar Athlete Awards Luncheon, held at the Washington Athletic Club, earlier this month! During their final month of senior year, the class of 2025 has stepped out of the classroom and into the real world. For their Senior Projects, a capstone project at SAAS, they interned everywhere from art studios to offices, learning about career paths and causes they care about. This year, 181 students worked at 104 different sites across the Seattle area, including the UW Applied Physics Lab, Microsoft, and an immigration law firm. "I love that it gives students the chance to explore something they’re curious about," says Community Action Program Coordinator Rachel Leavitt-Baron ’08. "There’s something so powerful about showing up every day, building relationships with adults, and doing work that matters outside of a school context."
